Heavy rain causes Silverstone event to be abandoned.
Torrential rain has caused the British Grand Prix at Silverstone to be cancelled.
The decision was made not to run the MotoGP race, or either the Moto2 or Moto3 classes, after persistent rain left too much standing water on the surface of the track.
Jack qualified ninth on a drying track on Saturday, and was on form in all conditions at Silverstone, finishing inside the top 10 on the timesheets in all four practice sessions, qualifying and Sunday warm-up before the heaviest rain hit.
Jack will now participate in a test day at Aragon this week before the next race, at Misano in Italy in a fortnight’s time.
