Jack’s preview: Top 10 on the timesheets in all but one on-track session heading into the last race at Misano was proof that Jack’s pace shown at the washed-out Silverstone event was no flash in the pan, but he left the San Marino GP with zero points after a lap three fall saw him tumble to the back of the field, a rear-guard ride seeing him advance only as far as 18th. Jack’s been stuck on 61 world championship points since he finished 12th at Brno last month, but he’s expecting better this weekend after a strong day of testing at Aragon after the cancellation of the British Grand Prix, Jack managing 88 laps (more than three race distances) just three weeks ago, and showing good pace throughout. Jack qualified and finished in the same position (13th) here a year ago, while Ducati (which has won three of the past four races) will be hoping to continue that run at a circuit that hasn’t been kind to the Italian manufacturer; Casey Stoner’s win in the inaugural race at Aragon in 2010 is Ducati’s only success at the remote, barren circuit.

Jack’s Aragon highlight: Jack has scored points in just two of five starts at Aragon so far, while his most challenging moment at Aragon came in his final Moto3 season of 2014, when an early-race clash with title rival Alex Marquez saw him come off-second best and finish 27th, relinquishing the championship lead in the process.
