Race: HJC Helmets Grand Prix Ceske Republiky
Round: 11 of 18
Date/time: Sunday August 21, 2pm local (10pm AEST)
Circuit: Brno: 14 corners, clockwise
Distance/laps: 5.4km, 22 laps
2015 podium: Lorenzo-Marquez-Rossi
Jack’s world championship results at Brno
2015 (MotoGP): qualified 22nd, finished 19th
2014 (Moto3): qualified 6th, finished 5th
2013 (Moto3): qualified 4th, finished 7th
Hot spots: Two left-right combinations, Turns 3-4 and Turns 13-14, are typically the preferred overtaking points at Brno. The switchback at the start of the lap comes after one of the circuit’s longer straights and precedes a long run downhill, while the final two corners linked together have settled many races over the years since the circuit came onto the world championship calendar in 1987.
Brno fast fact: The Czech GP has been the best-attended race on the MotoGP calendar for the past two years – in 2015, 248,434 fans attended over the race weekend, 138,752 on Sunday’s race day alone.
Jack in the world championship: 13th with 42 points.
