Jack’s world championship results at Mugello

Jack says: “We need to work more on our outright speed, but I think Mugello will be a little easier for our package. The key goal will be to finish the race and be as strong as possible throughout the weekend. Mugello is an awesome track and the top speed we get to on the straight is pretty scary and impressive. I’m looking forward to riding there and getting the result I think our speed deserves this season.”

Watch for: Lap one heading into the first corner, San Donato. The head-on shot of the bikes cresting the rise on the run to the hairpin for the first time produces one of the most famous TV images of the year, the bikes on the inside of the circuit crossing the pit lane exit line as they prepare to wipe off speed for the tight right-hander.

Mugello fast fact: The 1.14km main straight sees bikes touching 350km/h through the speed trap, producing some of the fastest speeds of the season. The final corner (Bucine, Turn 15) and the run onto the straight has been make or break for many a race over the years.
